Irish Eyes are Smiling...

Ok so yes it's way past St. Patrick's Day. BUT we've had a bit of illness in the family. And we didn't get an actual photo on St. Patrick's day because Eva's stomach bug started then so when I picked her up she was not in her outfit. Soooo we put it back on today! Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!
-
Eva is 50% Japanese, 25% Lithuanian, 25% Irish, French, German (did I get this right?...though my Dad would say 100% Irish!)
-
Ok, I now understand what people mean when they say that sickness spreads through your house when you have kids. Oh my did it spread. Eva has actually been under the weather since March 5th when I took her to the dr for the rash on her back. She went back to the dr. again on the 22nd since her cold had not yet let up. The dr told me she had RSV (https://health.google.com/health/ref/Respiratory+syncytial+virus+(RSV). Well, the girl must have caught something else because Monday night was full of throw up for Eva. And it continued through the week until Friday. I unluckily caught it Wednesday the minute Eric left for his trip. So it was a week of little work or fun. I think my boss thinks I'm insane :)
-
So, things healthwise are back to normal (we hope).
-
I officially have 4 more weeks of school. MBA here I come! (Oh, and I get to go on vacation...Girl's Trip to Phoenix! Daddy and Princess get to hang out!)

The countdown begins...

So I counted today...only six more Tuesday classes. Two of which are group presentations so really only four more classes. I cannot wait! This semester has been full of group work which has made it hard on Eric and I because it means a lot of group meetings. I cannot believe I graduate soon!

Our lovely 60-70 degree weather disappeared in time for the weekend. It went back down to 45 so we didn't have any outdoor walks. We did get out though . We went to the grocery store (yes our life is very exciting!). Eva tried out the shopping cart again and we made it through the whole trip with no crying. I bought a shopping cart cover for her (yes I am one of those moms) which had some fun toys to keep her entertained.

Other than that nothing much else to report for this weekend. Lots of homework, naps, and laundry.

Little Person

My baby is a little person now... she looks like a little kid in her new coat and new car seat. Today she showed me she can turn the pages of a book when I read it. She turned every page tonight at story time. She's growing up fast already :) Crazy.....

8 Months!

Hi, My name is Eva! I am 8 months old! I had to go to the doctor on Friday because I have a rash on my back so I know I weigh 17lbs 10oz! Don't worry the rash is ok, the doctor just said it's because I have a viral infection but it will go away in about a week.
-
I recently showed Mommy and Daddy that I can hold my bottle all by myself. I could do it for a while but I liked them holding it instead.
-
I also can make all sorts of new noises. I can make the "w" sound and also the "d" sound. Daddy recorded me saying "da da" in this video. Sorry I only said it once, I am a bit camera shy. Daddy was happy I started to say it and it is all I say now a days, though I don't know what it means yet.
-
I am in the Chicks room at daycare and because the room is bigger I take better naps. My crib is in the back of the room and the crib area is a bit darker in lighting then the rest of the room. They practice Tummy Time more at day care so I don't cry as quickly now when Mommy and Daddy do it at home. It's still not my favorite though, I would much rather be sitting.
-
I get to try out the big girl car seats this week. I got too big for my other one so Mommy and Daddy switched to the next size up this weekend. I tried out the shopping cart at Target yesterday but I only liked it for a short time, then I wanted to get out.
-
Mommy had to buy me a coat since I didn't have one with my other car seat, I had a snuggle blanket. Since there aren't really too many warm coats available this time of year, I got a 12 month coat. It's a bit big in the arms but I guess it will keep me warm!

That's me at 8 months!
